I dream in black and white because it is more romantic. I always stop to smell the roses. I love the feeling of cool grass between my toes. I still try to make out animal shapes in the clouds. I notice the damnedest things about the most ordinary subjects. I don’t say what is on my heart as often as I should, and say what is on my mind entirely too much, or so I am told. I believe in God, Jesus, the Devil, Heaven, Hell, good, evil, love and hate, right and wrong, pretty and ugly, black and white, this and that and the other thing. I usually put other peoples happiness before my own. I love the silence of a cold winters night. I love rush hours in the city and home cooked meals in the country. I love poetry and possess the tortured soul required to be on of the greats. I love the way babies smell. I love music that makes my soul jump up and down and scream. I am a singer that sings to a packed arena of passing cars everyday.I play guitar with the Dave Matthews Band in my livingroom on a regular basis and occasionally sit in with Willie, Walon and the boys. I love long conversations that start with one subject and end three or so hours later and have covered many different things and when its over, you don’t know what the hell the last subject had to do with the first one. I love love. I love the energy of love that binds my guts in knots and makes my mouth dry. Nothing beats the first I love you. Nothing beats the awkwardness of the first kiss. When I kiss, I kiss for keeps, when I love, I love forever, and if I chase you, I will catch you.I love the curves of a womans body and the taste of her skin during sex. I love the softness of a womans skin pressed close to mine.I love long slow, deep, wet, passionate kisses. I love eating breakfast for supper and sometimes eat chili for breakfast. I love beer in bottles or pints, whiskey with soda, scotch straight up and old, tequila in a shot glass, expensive cigars, Celtic music, smoky pubs, good times, good friends, good talk, good food, good drink, good God lets eat, Amen. I believe in looking people in the eye when talking to them. I love the sound of cold rain on the windowpane while curled up in bed with a good book and cup of coffee or an even better woman. I love soft "I love you"’s whispered in the darkness just before sleep takes hold. I love cold sheets, warm blankets, soft pillows, and firm mattresses. I love bear hugs and kisses on the cheek. I love bonfires in the fall with friends sitting on hay bales eating smores and drinking hot chocolate. Fall in the forest is my favorite smell. I love black coffee and cheddar cheese. I love the winter. I love TS Eliot, William Blake, William Shakespeare, Robert Burns, Yeats, Keats, Marlowe, Herrick, Dickinson, Cummings, and Frost. I love Kerouac and the madness of the beat generation, Hemmingway, Fitzgerald, Hesse, Poe, Wells, Roolsvag, Satre, Camus, etc., etc. I love Rock, jazz, pop, country, classical, opera, punk, ska, reggae, and even some Weather Channel Music. Favorite bands/singer include but are definitely not limited to, The Dave Matthews Band, The Cure, Bella Fleck, M. Ward, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, THE REVEREND AL GREEN, Marvin Gaye, Billy Paul, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, The Chi-lites, Thelonius Monk, Billie Holiday, old Ozzy Osborne, Eighties Music, Pat Green, Willie, Waylon, Johnny and Kris, Merle Haggard, John Mellencamp, The Carter Family, Flatt and Scruggs, Conway and Loretta, George and Tammy, Wagner, Bach, Mozart, Rimsky-Korsakov, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky…etc., etc., etc. I love dogs and cats. I love the romantic idea of sultry southern summer evenings but actually hate sultry southern summer evenings. When I do eventually marry, I will settle for nothing short of my best friend. I believe in holding hands and kissing in public. I believe in waving at people driving down the road even if I don’t know them. I believe in neighbors. I believe in the imaginary friends of children. I believe that I will stop here because this should give you a vague idea of me.
